Chef Alonna Adesope

Chef Alonna Adesope is native of Rochester, NY that relocated to the DMV area in 2010 to further her culinary career. She attended Johnson and Wales University at 16 years old as an enrollee in their Access Program and went on to receive her A.S in Culinary Arts. Having worked professionally in the food industry for 21 years, the culmination of her skills and passions lead her to work at Feeding America’s National Office as a Food Sourcing Manager.

She is an advocate for the Ashland Community Development Corporation in Baltimore City and an active member on the Board of Directors for the 2020 Famer’s Co-Op; which is a national cooperative of farmers. In 2020, she joined the Baltimore City Food PAC, which is a food policy coalition to address food insecurity within the city.

In 2023, she established Verdure Foods Inc. which is her response to addressing a broken food system by providing products and consulting services that support the local farmers and help communities thrive one meal at a time. Currently, she is participating in UCLA’s Social Enterprise Academy with ACDC Baltimore and leading the charge to create a food program for the community of East Baltimore for the youth and seniors.

Additionally, she is participating in the Veggie Van Training Course via the University of Buffalo to launch a series of Mobile Markets to address the growing rate of food insecurity within Baltimore City.

Chef Alonna is committed to ensuring equitable access to food for all and is working on a committee within the 2020 Farmer’s Co-Op to launch a series of Verdure Food Hubs nationally.

Kelci Hoylman brings a wealth of expertise to Verdure Foods Inc., where she oversees the acquisition and distribution of healthy food, warehouse operations, transportation logistics, inventory teams, and community impact initiatives. With a decade of experience in healthcare supply chain management and leadership roles, Kelci has managed multi-million-dollar perishable and nonperishable inventory systems, led diverse workforces, and directed large-scale facility operations, including luxury gyms.Passionate about food accessibility and education, Kelci plays a key role in fostering partnerships and driving Verdure Foods’ mission to create equitable food systems. She is an active member of the 2020 Farmers Co-operative and also contributes to Food Jonezi, a consulting practice focused on promoting healthy lifestyles for individuals of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
